With a strategic plan to grow its fundraising income significantly over three years, it wanted an experienced partner to assess the feasibility of the review's targets and to devise a strategy for achieving them.
CCWorks assessed the written review and spent time interviewing key personnel within The Children's Society to gain clarity around the charity's current payroll-giving status, its strategic needs and objectives.
Based on this, CCWorks conducted extensive research into the potential of all the charity's current and potential income streams. We put forward five-year growth objectives for the charity, including professional assessments of the viability of each of their donor targets. We also provided projections of the levels of investment that would be required to achieve the charity's desired growth objectives.
In-depth SWOT analyses were conducted to offer key insights into the charity's fundraising strategy, and showed key areas of vulnerability and undeveloped opportunity around each of a number of revenue streams, including:
| • | Professional Fundraising Organisations (PFOs) |
| • | Direct corporate involvement |
| • | Rotary Clubs and Chambers of Commerce |
| • | Charity consortia memberships |
| • | Donor reactivations, reclaims and recruitment |
As part of this research, CCWorks also benchmarked the payroll-giving activity of The Children's Society against that of seven other leading charities.
In addition, we provided recommendations on developing PFO and non-PFO recruitment, and identified two priority areas for the charity's income development
