Demelza - Review of Fundraising Strategy and Infrastructure

The Chidren's Hospice had recently opened a second Hospice. CCWorks was asked to review whether current fundraising streams and infrastructure were fit to sustain this growth.

The review entailed in-depth interviews with key fundraising staff, a thoruogh fundraising benchmarking exercise with four other Hospices and analysis of each current income stream.

Recommendations arising from the review included:

  • a new fundraising department structure headed up by a Director of Income Generation
  • the development of two new sustainable fundraising streams
  • a need to ensure Demelza remained engaged with the local communities that it serves.

These recommendations were implemented by the Charity.
